I am a researcher in mycology with a broad interest but mainly focusing on the systematics and taxonomy of basidiomycetes. I am especially interested in formally describing and spreading knowledge about hitherto unknown species that are either ecologically important species or connected to threatened forest habitats. I did my PhD at the University of Gothenburg, graduating 2020, with a project on the order Thelephorales. Since then, I have been a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Tartu and Uppsala University, focusing on Atheliales and Thelephorales, respectively. I have also worked as curator of the fungal collections at the Swedish Museum of Natural History and the Museum of Evolution (Uppsala). I joined the Johannesson Lab 2026, where my main focus is on projects about the dispersal biology, population dynamics and ecological impact of the invasive fungus Aureoboletus projectellus.
