I joined the Johannesson group in the autumn of 2026 to do my master thesis in biology. I will investigate Aureboletus projectellus, a North American bolete which is rapidly spreading in Sweden and the northern parts of Europe. The questions the thesis will address is how many introductions the species have had in Europe, its mode of propagation and how it disperses.
I have a bachelor’s degree from Stockholm University in environmental science where my bachelor’s thesis focused on the influence of plants on nitrogen levels in thawing permafrost soils.
